What does the integration with Strava allow?
The integration between Strava and Omniwallet turns your clients' sports activities into a completely automated loyalty tool. Thanks to it, you will be able to:
- Link each client's Strava account with their Omniwallet loyalty card.
- Automatically convert the distance traveled, time in motion, and positive elevation into points.
- Create personalized challenges by sport, with their own conditions and rewards.
- Audit all processed activities and the points generated by each of them.
- Automatically block activities marked as suspicious by Strava to prevent fraud.
How the client connects their Strava account
From their personal area, the client will find the option to connect their Strava account.
By clicking it, the OAuth authorization flow from Strava will open. If they have not logged in yet, they will need to do so and authorize the requested access. Once the authorization is accepted, the account will be permanently linked and all new sports activities will start to be processed automatically, generating points according to the configuration defined by the brand.
Setting up daily incentives
Access Points Program → Strava → Daily Incentives.
Activate the general switch Active to enable the rewards system.
Next, you will be able to configure each of the available metrics independently:
- Distance traveled
- Time in motion
- Positive elevation
For each of them, you will be able to define:
- The conversion rate, indicating how many points are granted for each kilometer, minute, or meter of elevation.
- The daily points limit, preventing a client from accumulating an excessive amount in a single day.
Once the configuration is complete, save the changes for them to take effect.
Create a personalized challenge
Access Points Program → Strava → Challenges and click Create Challenge.
First, configure the general information of the challenge:
- Challenge name.
- Sport it applies to (running, cycling, swimming, skiing, surfing, soccer, and any other sport supported by Strava).
Then define its duration. If you leave the start and end dates empty, the challenge will remain active indefinitely.
Next, configure the reward:
- Points the client will receive upon completing the challenge.
- Maximum number of daily activities that can generate progress.
Finally, set the minimum conditions necessary for an activity to be valid:
- Minimum distance.
- Minimum time in motion.
- Minimum positive elevation.
These conditions can be used independently or combined with each other.
Once saved, the challenge can be modified or deleted at any time from the list of configured challenges.
Consult the history of processed activities
Access Points Program → Strava → Activities.
On this screen, you will find the complete history of processed activities, showing for each of them:
- Client.
- Evaluated challenges.
- Activity status (rewarded or omitted, along with the reason).
- Points granted.
- Sport.
- Distance traveled.
- Time in motion.
- Recorded positive elevation.
Additionally, you will be able to use filters and the search bar to quickly locate any specific activity and review its details.
Fraud prevention
Omniwallet automatically protects the integrity of the loyalty program.
All activities that Strava identifies as suspicious are automatically blocked and do not generate points, preventing fraud attempts without the need for manual intervention by the administrator.
